Wales pulled off a stunning heist to retain their Six Nations crown in 2013 as they destroyed England 30-3 in their final match of the tournament. England had been gunning for a Grand Slam in Cardiff but were humiliated and Wales are now favourites to make it three in a row in the 2014 Six Nations.

The Championship roots date back to 1883, when the four home nations played a round robin event, with the winners receiving the Triple Crown.
