Munster are one of the top teams in Ireland as well as the most successful as they currently boast a side packed with Irish Internationals that have led them to glory in recent season. Munster have been twice Heineken Cup Winners with the last win coming in 2008 and that is coupled with two Runners Up spots.
Recently they have become the powerhouses of Irish Rugby and indeed Celtic Rugby as they duly showed by winning the Magners League in 2008/09.
Munster play their home games at two grounds and they are Thomond Park in Limerick and Musgrave Park in Cork with Thomond the bigger of two. Munster faced Leinster in the 2009 Heineken Cup Semi Final at Croke Park in Ireland and their was an attendance 82,208 which was a world record for any Rugby Match anywhere in the world.
